Rachel graduated with a Diploma in Physiotherapy from the Otago School of Physiotherapy in 1991 and worked in Whanganui, Auckland, Kerikeri and Wairoa before moving to USA in 1997 where she gained a Master of Health Science in Physiotherapy. Her research included developing a taping technique for heel pain (plantar fasciitis). While in the States she completed in several marathons, half marathons and triathlons across the States and worked closely with orthopaedic surgeons, predominantly in the sports field, in Springfield, Illinois.
She returned to New Zealand with her kiwi husband and baby in 2007 where she joined the Plus Rehab CHB team and is now the sole Director. Rachel has a passion for people and her empathetic, knowledgeable and professional approach aims to get to the root of the problem and achieve results quickly. She has a special interest in vestibular & vertigo conditions, breathing dysfunction, is part of the Hawkes Bay concussion team, physio for the Central Hawkes Bay rugby team and recently became certified in Pinc and Steel Cancer Rehab (something that is very close to her heart).
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys jogging, cooking and spending time with family.
