Shelley completed her BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree at the University of Brighton, England in 2008. She then worked for two years in a acute and a rehabilitation hospital for the National Health Service (UK). It was during that time that she met her now Husband, kiwi born and bred sheep and beef farmer Lee. Moving her whole life to Central Hawkes Bay, New Zealand in 2010.
Ever since then she has worked here at Plus Rehab CHB. She is currently working part time, balancing physiotherapy work with a young family being a Mother of two preschool children.
Shelley has a massive passion for Rugby and sports related injuries, this relected in her work as the physiotherapist for Central Hawkes Bay Rugby and Sports Premier Rugby Team. Shelley’s special interests include sports injuries (having completed all Level 1 SPNZ course), Manual and manipulative therapy (gaining the NZMPA Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy). She has also completed all parts (A-D) of the McKenzie Concept and uses this daily in her practice.
In her spare time Shelley enjoys baking with her children, riding her horse around the family farm and spending quality time with her friends and family.
